Tomorrow's quiz will be on cross multiplying and parallel lines with transversals. 



Cross Multiplying Steps


         x + 1          2
         ____   =  ____

         12             3

- Circle the unknown (x+1)
- Multiply the diagonals (12 x 2 = 24)
- Divide by the other number (24 divided by 3 = 8)
- So if the unknown is 8, then x+1  =  8
- Which means x must be 7
x = 7
